Hi interested followers! It has been a lovely week.  I'd like to start with something I found in my scripture reading this week.  1 Nephi 16:8 seems pretty nothing, but then it just felt important, and as wrote about it in my study journal, it hit me.  Lehi and his family had completed some important work while they were staying in the Valley of Lemuel.  they had learned many very important truths.  and now they were ALLOWED to move on.  And I wondered, what are the important works I have to do at this time and what truths does God have for me to learn before he will ALLOW me to move on?  Maybe those questions might be useful for you too! I am constantly amazed and overwhelmed with gratitude at the great treasures of knowledge God is blessing me with as I try my best to be a good missionary, but really fall so short!  and yet he blesses me with insight and direction and opportunities.  I know he will bless you too, as you do your be...

Hi everyone! its been a good week!  and Saturday was the highlight!! I went swimming!!! yep, Seniors are allowed to swim!  the water was so warm and so clean and such a beautiful colour and though I didn't have a snorkel or goggles I saw tropical fish!!!!!!!!!!!  I am going to try to borrow or buy some gear for sure!  the 2 elders went out a bit further than me and they said they saw angel fish, and lots of other kinds!! black and white striped ones, and some big ones!  I didnt take any pics at the beach, I decided to just enjoy without trying to capture and I was glad I did because while we were swimming it rained and my bag would have been soaked!   the next best thing was that Jonathan Warwick came with a team from Auckland for training of the teachers at the school and it was so good to see him!  For those who don't know, he was our Bishop in Deseret Ward, Temple View, about 5 years go??  His wife was CJ's seminary teacher and I ...

Its been a good week.  I did an Art therapy workshop and it was embraced with open arms!  I was nervous but it went down well with the Liahona school counsellors, even though only 3 were in attendance with T and I.  I also found out they don't really have magazines here so there'll be no collage!  i love collage!!  I did buy one of those kids colouring books from the distribution centre, because I don't think there will be any way to get them colouring-in pages either.  I have a few friends here who want to do some art journalling too, and so it has set my mind racing with what we can do with the limited resources i can find here.  we'l have to make our own stencils and paint in spray bottles.   But I also had a disappointment when I found that my in-field language training, while it can continue, has been changed to a different coach and a different tutor.  I was really bummed about that.  I really liked both of the first ones...
